 Using an online "true match" women's makeup generator, each neighborhood on the map represents the average skin color as reported in the 2000 US Census race and ethnic data.  Blood then serves to paint the connecting transportation arteries of the city.  Recontextualizing the notion of "foundation," the choice of material purposely brings forward the relationship between the body and its dwelling.
